Seminar: Estonia and US in financial crisis – what can we learn?
This Thursday, April 11th Mises Institute Estonia hosts a seminar which will focus on the mistakes made in economic policy that brought about the housing bubble and the crash in US and many other countries, including Estonia. Also, some myths about Estonia and economic crisis will be overturned. Please join us, the admission is free! The event takes place in LHV Bank’s client office at Tartu mnt 2.
Our main speaker is Jimmy Morrison,a young filmmaker from US. He is the director of “The Bubble”, a documentary that will be released in coming months. The film is based on the New York Times Best Seller “Meltdown” by Dr. Tom Woods and features interviews with numerous economists and financial analysts who actually predicted the housing crisis and recession. Jimmy’s talk is titled “What Estonians Can Learn From the Mistakes of Americans”.
In addition, our own Robert Müürsepp will talk about some misunderstandings regarding Estonia and our recent crisis. Robert is leading statistician at Statistics Estonia.
Robert’s short talk is titled “Some Myths About Estonia in Crisis”.
The whole event will be about 2 hours, including questions and answers session.
